WHAT ARE THE FEES?

You are responsible for settling the account with me and submitting your invoice to your Medical Aid for full reimbursement. I will invoice you at the end of each session for medical aid reimbursement. You can either pay in cash at your session or you can pay via EFT. If you choose to pay via EFT, your account must be settled BEFORE each session with proof of payment sent to my email address. I will provide you with my account details once you have made contact. Please feel free to contact me should you have any questions regarding payment options.

HOW LONG DOES EACH THERAPY SESSION TAKE?

Individual sessions are 50 minutes. Couple sessions are a minimum of 90 minutes. Family sessions are a minimum of 120 minutes.

You will be advised accordingly when booking.

After 6 sessions we will reassess the situation. At that time, a new decision will be made concerning the best course of action for you. This may include: referral to another professional, continuation of my counselling with the Counsellor or termination of the counselling sessions if I should see fit.

WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY?

I have a 24-hour cancellation policy, which means that appointments not cancelled within 24 hours will be charged for. If payment was made, and the appointment was cancelled more than 24 hours before the session, the client will be reimbursed for the session

WHAT SHOULD I HAVE WITH ME IN OUR SESSIONS?

First and foremost, making the decision to attend counselling (whether alone, as a couple or as a family) is the first step to the rest of your life, and I congratulate you! I ask that you bring with you an open mind, and an open heart; a willingness to be honest with me, and yourselves. Be kind to yourself, and to others.
I require all clients to keep a journal during their counselling journey. Therapy is about more than attending a weekly appointment. Our session is a time where many insights happen, but it need not be limited to this time. In fact for the best results, clients should use their journals to focus and articulate their thoughts, feelings and triggers during the week. Should you be willing, sharing this during our session will be helpful. I require that you bring this with you during the first session. We will look over this at various intervals and consider where you were, where you are and where you would like to be.
